“ The seafood pancake was amazing with the Makgeolli to wash it down! Nice chunks of seafood, lightly crispy edges like I love and done in the middle. Great stone bowl Bibimbap with tender nicely seasoned bulgogi. Our server was so sweet and attentive! We will definitely be back! ”
“ Absolutely wonderful. It's run by a family and the food is just wonderful. There was a problem with a guest's health the night we were there and they couldn't have been more caring or helpful with his condition. The EMTs came and the restaurant staff was so interested in the guest's health, it was amazing. We will definitely go back! ”
“ Impeccable service. We felt as if we were home, not only with the ambiance, but with the delicious food! Our server was the sweetest, she taught our son how to properly hold chopsticks. Sure to be a memory he will never forget Everyone's foot was amazing. They took into consideration my son's shellfish allergy, food came out pretty fast and oh boy was it tasty!!! We will be back whenever in the area ”
“ Excellent restaurant. It's a Go To place for me. If you like Korean food, you'll love Shilla. ”
“ Our new favorite spot for Korean food! We've gotten takeout several times and it's always excellent, we recently dined in for the first time. The ambiance was very nice-- it was dim, spacious, and perfect for date night. My fiancé and I ordered the Galbi, Tteok Manduguk, and seafood pancake. The Galbi was tender, flavorful, and the BEST Galbi I've ever had. The seafood pancake was crispy, did not skimp on any fillings, and is a must try! The Tteok Manduguk was also very good. The broth was light in flavor, but the fillings really brought it to life. The dumplings inside the soup were delicious as well. Can't wait to try more menu items! ”
“ All time favorite place to go for dinner-still. Family owned authentic Korean food made with love. Seafood pancakes are a must try! Bibimbap I've tried several places and this is the only one I really like. Service is friendly-always! Great for large and small dinner groups: We have also come here with large parties of people, I call ahead to let them know and everything still comes out all at once and amazing. Food quality: five stars Cleanliness: five stars Service: five stars Wait time: always reasonably seated or seated fast Takeout quality: everything is wrapped tight no leaks and still comes to my home hot. Amazing food. ”
“ The food here is very delicious and very authentic. I had Bibimbop with chicken and it was done perfectly. I could also control the spiciness myself with the sauce on the side. I would suggest having more alcoholic options available. The service was just as good and the server was so friendly and conversation with her was delightful. The ambiance needs a bit upgrading with more decorations. It's very clean, but a bit unexciting. It's the only thing that left that 5th star off. ”
“ Very. good. Will return. I was hungry for bibinbop and Shilla was a good call. Quaint minimalist atmosphere with nice Asian art. Service was helpful and just right. We had the seafood pancake as an appetizer and it was creamy with a nice sauce. They have things that are more common to Americans like my wife's sesame chicken with nice vegetables chopped thin and easy to eat. My bb was served crispy on the bottom on a stone dish. Kimchi offerings were both fermented and also made daily. Lots of specialty Korean dishes. Friendly. . ”
“ Friday, July 14, 2023 - 4 for dinner: First time here, we have been seeking a good Korean spot in the Sarasota area. This is the third entry. We arrived and were pleasantly greeted and seated. Clean utensils and placeware. Nicely spaced and organized seating. Our server was wonderful and helpful with the menu and options. The girls had some adult beverages. We got a seafood pancake and some pot-stickers for appetizers. I got a tofu vegetable stir fry that was prepared with nice ingredients and tofu product. The spice was nice and not too overpowering. The vegetables properly cooked and fresh but they were a bit soggy. The overall sauce was a little wet and the tofu was dark and a bit tough on the outside. 6/10 Another person got a kimchi soup/stew that was amazingly hot and fresh. He commented very tasty and as expected. He said he would order this again and would also look for this dish at other Korean restaurants. 9/10 The girls both got the traditional bibimbap with runny egg. This as as expected in a smoking hot pot with all kinds of ingredients. They reported the meat was a little tough and disappointing almost a minute steak or Philly cheesteak tough product. There was a lot of rice as well proportionately to the bowl size and a few more vegetables would have been nice. The rice was almost charred and burned on the bottom and not really edible. This was not the best or highest rated bimimbap my wife has had. 5/10. We like this place and it was good compared to other restaurants but out of the three so far in Sarasota, Osprey, Venice area it is in third place. ”
“ The boss and I had the galbi and dolsot bimbimbap. The galbi was on the sweeter side and I prefer it that way. Meat was well seasoned and cooked just right. The dolsot bowl made the rice crispy and was also tasty. The boss thought the dolsot rice was a bit dry and I agree. There was a good amount of bulgogi on top. Service was friendly and attentive. ”
